Canterbury Area Pickleball (CAP) runs skill-matched pickleball sessions across three Canterbury-area venues. Every session is grouped by ability so improvers play improvers and advanced players get a proper game — no more mixed-level chaos. Four courts, four players per court, coached and rec-play formats. Coaching that doesn't take itself too seriously. Getting better at pickleball does. Built by Wayne, the same person who built the rest of PLINKY PLONK, because 15 years in SaaS and payments apparently wasn't enough of a hobby. Turns out the hardest part of getting good at pickleball isn't the dinks or the third shot drop, it's finding a court and a coach who'll actually show you how. So the Academy exists to fix that too. Sessions run across Thanet, led by a Pickleball England certified Activator (certification September 2026, so hold your applause a fortnight). Whether you've never picked up a paddle or you're already chasing that competitive edge, the goal is simple: turn up, get better, have a laugh doing it. Session times coming soon. 7Oaks Pickleball Club play there most Monday evenings from 6pm-8pm. If unavailable the club play at Sevenoaks Leisure Centre. Bookings at Weald of Kent are via Vivifyvenues.com.
